Given photograph collection includes photos accumulated as a colonel and chief signal officer with the 6th Armored Division during WWII. During that time, he "accumulated" a file of combat photos. Some are marked with the divisional confidential markings, others are United States (U.S.) Army Signal Corps European Theater of Operations (ETO) photos and have good identification information on them. All deal with either Belgium or Germany. The whole scope of a division's experience in war are pictured. Combat, of course, but also mess lines, soldiers' leisure activities, religious service both in the field and in chapel buildings, tanks, prisoners of war (POWs), refugees, Polish Women's Army Corps (WACs), Russian soldiers, destroyed towns, medal presentations, etc. This is a very good collection dealing mostly with the activities of the 6th Armored Division in World War II.
